Sweep Scrollbar

There’s a development version of Sweep with a waveform view on the scrollbar.

I think the gaps around the canvas could be removed to clean things up a bit. The connection between the main view and the throbber could be emphasized. Mockup:

The same, just with rounded corners:

One Response to Sweep Scrollbar

  1. thanks for doing the mockups. :)

    lets see:

    the gaps.

it’s table spacing. all the other widgets in the table (they lie around the sample-display) would also bunch up. still, i like that and have it that way in my own build. so, agreed.

    first mockup.

not keen on this one. mainly because the lack of a division
between the sample-display and the scroll pane bar gives it a contiguous appearance. it won’t cause death or injury but it is a bit counter intuitive and so might contribute to madness in the weak minded. :D

    second mockup.

yep. feeling this one. there’s a dividing line between widgets, but the curves associate the two nicely and also differentiate the active and hidden areas represented by the scroll pane quite well.

i guess the options are to use cairo or go lowfi for the corners.

another possibility that helps to highlight the active area is if that is made slightly larger with a line on the top and/or bottom.

    cheers.
