Rework with all dog gestures; paw up (or mount?) to post, wag at bitch alpha-left to vote, co-sniffing to discuss, various examinations to view, etc.etc. Bob just looks so generic!
I mean, when some ragingly Arabic guy wants to hold a table or sale item, and doesn’t want to give a name, Bob or Phillip or Dan is a pretty fun choice placeholder to give him. But samey ectomorphs aren’t what I need lots of.
Come and think of it, a big wrong grouping of malware syndicate people would make a pretty snarky art desktop. Probably not what one wants as a default for Ubuntu, but if you have to imitate life, imitate life.
i think your ‘participate’ icon of the three people in a circle is brilliant. i’m not sure of the ’see’ one though, to me it is more someone having trouble seeing, which isn’t the right impression i think the eye image suited this concept better. i also don’t know about the ‘vote’ icon, but i can’t think of any better way to do it… maybe an image of a piece of paper with 3 tickboxes and one ticked? might be confused for an options icon though. the post icons all look great i think 1 and 4 are the best

Thank you, porl!
Yeah, Bob has been shot down. The gears win due to a lack of competition
Glad you like all post sketches. So does Nicolas, but he prefers the second.
