    Again, I’m inclined towards #2.

    Having the segmented circle lends itself towards the Ubuntu logo without (IMO) compromising on it being a Full Circle.

    I really like these logos but where will we be seeing them? I am leaning toword the the second option but I am not sure the first one is nice as well, I think you are right the first option represents full circle better but the second can be better connected to the ubuntu logo.

    #2, I definitely think the three ‘points’ retains enough of the familiarity with the CoF yet is distinct enough

    I really like these simple logos compared to the original one. (Though keeping a similar logo could be important for recognition purposes, but I think the main purpose of this logo will not be for brand recognition, and if so, hopefully, for largely a new audience.)

    All of the white circles have their size the same, with the radius of the inner orange circle being virtually the same as the thickness of the outer orange ring, giving the appearance of a target logo with a line or lines drawn between them. Making the white circle of slightly larger diameter would help to offset this illusion. In the original CoF, there are heads which need the thicker outer ring, but the “headless” circle doesn’t need so much space. Another solution would be to put bumps on the circle roughly where the heads were, which might also help to appear more similar to the CoF.

    I prefer the circular arrow lines as opposed to the triangular arrow lines.

    I prefer 3 lines, as in #2, for several reasons. The main one is that it is more similar to the CoF, without losing the impression of going around in a “full circle”, though the others might also been seen as going “full circle”.

    With just one line, though, it will be hard to avoid making the inner orange circle resemble something else which might be unintended. For example, looking at #1, I see a ball hanging by a bent wire from the top of a ring. But that hanging ball, perhaps could also be perceived as a bomb or maybe even as an apple.

    But good ideas. Keep up the good work! I can’t wait to see what the final logo will be.

    I agree with all of you: #2 is the best. But how about adding just the 3 empty semicircle to better recall the shape of CoF?
