Tweaked the envelope and cogs. Added labels, tried a space saving layout. Since it was brought up that the icons were lacking “presence”, I made alternative versions with more noticable outlines. Originally I wanted a smooth and less comic-like look.

The icon for ‘see’ does not have much to do with seeing? it looks more like an icon for ‘think’ or something.. maybe you could use something with a magnifying glass or something..?

Dieter_be: If you look at https://thorwil.wordpress.com/2008/05/01/ubuntu-brainstorm-help/, you see I tried several other things. Problem is, magnifying glasses are commonly used for search and zoom. Binoculars for search. Eyes for visibility and they tend to look a little creepy. Nicolas and I agreed that switching to an what-is-to-be-seen approach, hence the cogs as symbol for ongoing work.
